In today's age it is difficult to capture what citizen journalism is. After learning the different aspects of what it takes to be a journalist in my various media studies courses at UC Berkeley and my work with various news outlets, I believe that a journalist is a person who is dedicated to presenting accurate, unbiased, relevant information to the public by means of investigation. As a reporter and photojournalist, I hope to showcase photos and share stories that are important in my local and surrounding communities. As a teacher, I hope to impress upon my students the importance of this work.
